The Principality of Andorra is a country with its own State; it is an independent country with two borders that limit the territory, one with Spain and the other with France. It does not belong to the European Union and this fact is the reason why a series of conditions must be followed in order to legally work or live in the country.
To ask for authorization to live and work in Andorra, you must fill in a series of documents that must be taken to the Immigration Service in Andorra:
- Application for immigration authorization
- Document with the signature of the person who asks for the authorization
- ID or passport
- Criminal history record from the origin country or, from the last residence countries, unless you are younger than 16 years old.
- ID or passport size photograph
- Photocopy of your rental contract or your property document. If the person who asks for the authorization is not the contract holder, it is also necessary to have a certificate of the holder.
- Certificate of your marital status. If you are single, you will be given a form. If you are married, you will need to provide a photocopy of the Family Book. If you are a widow or you are divorced, you will have to enclose an official certificate.
- Curriculum Vitae and original and copies of all the documents related to your career and studies.
Once you have all these documents, you can go to our Central Offices and ask for our Human resources department. There, you will be informed on how to fill in the application.
Once you have filled in all the documents, you will need to go to the Immigration Service and hand them in. After that, you will have to go through a medical test in order to check your health. If this test is correct, you fill finally get your residence and work authorization.
